Opposing gay marriage is like not letting people eat cake because you’re on a diet.

Obama announcing he supports gay marriage….

I love this. The man has balls. Announcing you support gay marriage is electoral suicide.

Thats the only downside of him announcing this. It has made it so much less likely he will win a second term. We all know what a subsantial amount of Americans think. Obama is clearly the best candidate to win. He isn’t crazily Christian, is pro-gay rights and is just not a Republican.

It is great that he has announced this, but is really is electoral suicide. He could have done it at a better time.

P.s: Make it a fucking federal issue. Leaving states to decide on their own is ridiculous because we all know the southern states won’t legalise gay marriage in any time soon. Why should the government have any say in who can and can’t get married? It isn’t their busiess at all. It is between the two people who love each other.

econowealth asked: Your arguing against basic economic principles. Excess demand leads to an increase in supply. And just to remind you of the housing crisis the world had a few years ago, markets if they believe in the long run profits will be positive, will increase supply. Excess demand brings builders to the forefront. I think you are way oversimplifying housing. Housing is a factor of growth, credit,renting/buying choice labor mobility. Subsidizing housing isn't exactly easy even if it were worth it.

So why has supply of housing not increased then? Why are people still having to live in sheds and walk in fridges? What do you propose the government do to help shift the supply curve out?
